HOW DOES CLASSES 4 CLASSES FUND ITS MISSION?

Classes 4 Classes accepts donations directly to our cause and we take a portion of each project donation (15%, which is factored into the overall project goal) to cover operating costs and Pay Pal and credit card transaction fees. We also accept regular donations from donors who wish to experience the ease of having a lasting impact on the social curriculum for K-8 students nationally.

HOW DO I DECIDE WHICH PROJECT TO DONATE TO?

We encourage you to donate to a project based on your affiliation or connection with the giving or receiving class, rather than the gift itself. While the specifics of the project are important, the real purpose of our mission resides in teaching kids how to help other kids. For donors who want to help a receiving class but don’t know which project to donate to, consider donating directly to Classes 4 Classes.

HOW DO YOU ENSURE A CARING CLASS PAYS IT 4WARD ONCE THEIR PROJECT GOAL IS REACHED?

Before the money you and other donors contribute to a project is released to the receiving class, that class is required to “pay it 4ward” by submitting a project. Until the receiving class hits “submit” on their project page, and effectively becomes the giving class for another class, that money is securely held by Classes 4 Classes. This way, we ensure that our mission to “pay it 4ward” is realized.

WHAT HAPPENS IF I DONATE TO A PROJECT AND THE MONEY RAISED DOESN’T MEET THE PROJECT GOAL?

Before the money you and other donors contribute to a project is released to the receiving class, that class is required to “pay it 4ward” by submitting a project. Until the receiving class hits “submit” on their project page, and effectively becomes the giving class for another class, that money is securely held by Classes 4 Classes. This way we ensure that our mission to “pay it 4ward” is realized!

HOW CAN I HELP IF I CANT CONTRIBUTE FINANCIALLY AT THIS TIME?

Our Get Involved page offers several ways people of all ages can help support our mission to instill these values in our K-8 classroom! If you have an idea you don’t see listed here please visit our Contact Us page and let us know!

IS MY GIFT TAX DEDUCTIBLE?

Yes! Classes 4 Classes, Inc. is recognized by the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) as a 501(c)(3) Charitable Organization. Donations made to our Organization (including your project) are tax deductible. All contributions are given in support of our mission to actively engage students in learning a social curriculum through the platform created by our website and their participation in a Caring Class Project. No contributions are given in exchange for any good or services provided by the Organization.

WHY CAN’T I SET UP MY PROJECT PAGE?

Make sure you’ve entered all of your profile information correctly and you’ve correctly identified whether you are a Receiving Class or a Giving Class. If you still can’t set up your project, you may not have been matched with a class. We will keep you posted, so stay tuned or Contact Us.

WHAT IS A GIVING CLASS?

A Giving Class is a class who wants to commit their time to building a profile and a project page to sponsor a project for a Receiving Class. All they need to commit is their time and their dedication to spreading the message of their efforts in kindness, caring and compassion. There is no financial obligation to the students or teachers at all, unless they choose to raise money to help expedite the process.

WHAT IS A RECEIVING CLASS?

A Receiving Class is a class who either knows of an item or experience they’ve been wanting, or a class who just wants to be involved in Classes 4 Classes, but doesn’t have the time to drive the project or enhance their social curriculum, currently. Receiving Classes have the advantage of being involved in C4C an easing the process into their regular schedule and curriculum during the course of money being raised for their own project before they are actually required to sponsor a class in order to receive their gift.

HOW ARE THE CLASSES MATCHED?

Our site has a database of Giving Classes and Receiving Classes. If you know of a Receiving Class that you want to sponsor, select that option when you sign up and you’ll be able to enter that classes information into our database along with your own and be automatically matched. Otherwise, indicate your class as a Giving Class or a Receiving Class and we’ll match you at C4C!
